After a nearly 45-year absence and in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Washington County Fair, an annual auction of large animal exhibits has been reinstated for this year's fair.
The auction will take place at 3 p.m. Aug. 1 with sale animals scheduled to be on display for viewing in the Two Rivers Bank arena beginning at 2 p.m.
Exhibit categories include:
- Market beef
- Market hogs
- Market sheep
- Market meat goats
Details of the auction are still being formalized, however, it is anticipated that each exhibitor will be allowed one sale entry to the auction from a covered species. A sale entry will have to be an animal shown by the exhibitor at the fair and it will need to be available for immediate transfer.
More details will be available soon!
